Everything you need to know about COVID-19 returning to NSW
NSW announced 12 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. The cases include four returned overseas travellers and eight locally acquired cases.
Five cases are linked to an asymptomatic Liverpool Hospital healthcare worker. The three remaining local cases are currently under investigation.
And soon after the 12 cases were announced, NSW Health confirmed another case at Macquarie University, which will be included in today’s numbers.

Anyone who attended Ripples restaurant in Milsons Point on Saturday from 8pm to 10.30pm should self-isolate.
Anyone who’s attended Macquarie University’s sports and aquatic centre should monitor for symptoms. It is not yet known when the positive case attended the centre, which has been closed for deep cleaning.

Health authorities have warned it is likely more cases will come in the following days.
“You can’t be confident that it’s not there, and so our assumption is always that it may be there. Therefore, don’t relax, don’t be complacent, come forward and get tested.”
NSW Deputy Chief Medical Officer Jeremy McAnulty.
