Changes to religious gatherings, weddings and funerals
The four reasons to leave home are over
1 - All retail will reopen
From 11:59pm on Tuesday, Melbourne’s retail and hospitality will reopen. This includes cafes, restaurants, pubs, as well as beauty and personal services.
Each venue will be allowed up to 50 people outdoors, and a maximum of 20 indoors.
2 - Changes to religious gatherings, weddings and funerals
Up to 10 people will be allowed to attend indoor religious gatherings.
If the religious gathering is outdoors, up to 20 people can attend.
Funerals will also increase to a maximum of 20 mourners. Weddings will increase to a maximum of 10 people.
3 - The four reasons to leave home are over
The four reasons to leave home will be removed from Tuesday night. Up to 10 people will be able to gather outside - and there’s no household limit.
The 25 kilometres travel limit will stay in place until November 8 - and the regional border will also remain until then.
More announcements to come
Premier Daniel Andrews hinted at another announcement tomorrow regarding who you can have over at home.
And he also flagged November 8 as another major day of loosening restrictions - including the removal of the 25 kilometre travel limit, an increase in retail and hospitality limits to up to 70 people, and an increase in religious gatherings to up to 50 people.
