Victorians, you'll be able to have Christmas with up to 30 people at your home this year: here's your simple guide to the changing restrictions
WHEN YOU'RE AT HOME
From tonight at 11:59pm: You can have up to 15 visitors in your home per day (up from two). Infants under 12 months do not count towards the cap.
It is recommended to keep a record of visitors, and to wear masks if distancing is not possible.
From December 13 at 11:59pm: You can have up to 30 visitors in your home under the same conditions.
WHEN YOU'RE OUT AND ABOUT
Masks: You won't be required to wear a mask outdoors where you can physically distance.
Masks are still required indoors - in workplaces, shopping, public transport, hospitals and in ride share services.
YOUR PARK PICNICS CAN GET BIGGER
Public outdoor gatherings will now increase to a cap of 50 people.
FLOOR SIZE MATTERS
Indoor venues: For indoor venues smaller than 200 square metres, there will be a cap of 50 people (based off one person per 2 square metres). QR codes must be used.
For indoor venues larger than 200 square metres, there will be a cap of 150 people (based off one person per 4 square metres).
Outdoor venues: For outdoor venues, there will be a 300 person cap (based on a a limit of one per 2 square metres).
SPORT AND FITNESS
Gyms: Gyms will be capped at 150 people, groups of 20, with one person per 4 square metres.
Sports clubs: Indoor physical recreation/community sport (contact or non-contact) will be capped at 150 people, groups of 20, with one person per 4 square metres.
Outdoor physical recreation/sport - 500 people, groups of 50, with one person per 4 square metres.
WORK
FROM 30 NOVEMBER:
Workplaces currently WFH can return up to 25% of their workforce per site.
Standard workplace requirements including floor density limits apply.
Businesses with fewer than 40 staff can have 10 staff on-site (subject to density requirements).
Public service to continue working from home.
WEDDINGS, FUNERALS, RELIGIOUS SERVICES
Weddings: Wedding venues (indoor and outdoor) can have up to 150 people (staff, celebrant not included), at one person per 4 square metres.
Funerals: Funerals at indoor and outdoor venues -150 people limit (staff, faith leader not included, one person per 4 square metres.
Weddings and Funerals at a private residence limited to 15 people.
Religious gatherings: Religious gatherings will be capped at 150 people (indoors) and 300 people (outdoors), at one person per 4 square metres.
